Catholic Church Administrator of the Diocese of Wau advocates for peace as the only priority of ending the conflict in the country.
Fr. Marko Mongu calls on people of South Sudan to have strong faith in God and hope that the ongoing negotiations for peace will yield fruits.
According to Voice of Hope Radio, the Administrator says “the Catholic Church of East Africa have met during a conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to discuss their roles on peace in their countries”.
The church also looked into their contributions to the citizens by strengthening their health services, education and vocational trainings. He adds
Fr. Mongu urges the East African countries to be an example of peace to the rest of communities like what Ethiopia and Eretria did.
People of South Sudan have the capacity to bring peace to the country but it need strong faith, he stresses.
