The listeners of Don Bosco Radio in Tonj state on Friday during morning tea program have acknowledged the important roles teachers play in the society.
Captain Kuol one of the callers describes a teacher as one who sacrifices his time and lifestyle to build the Nation.
He appeals to the students to honour teachers other elders in the school and community.
Benjamin Deng Aruop Deng another caller says any Nation should be proud of the teachers due their hard work in ensuring children get better teaching.
Deng explains that the aim of the teachers is to raise the new generation to be successful in life.
He appeals to the government to improve teachers’ salaries especially the secondary teachers.
