UNMISS Chief urges teachers to promote peace

The Head of United Nation Mission in South Sudan in Torit field office has called on South Sudanese teachers to promote and educate others about peace.
 
Caroline Waudo thinks with the knowledge the teachers already posses, advocating for peace cannot be so hard.
 
Waudo urges the communities in the State to stop tribalism and start participating in activities that will promote unity among them.
 
She says lasting peace will prevail unless the ongoing conflict is brought to an end and permanent cease fire is signed.
 
Waudo urges teachers to teach children and Youth at grassroots ways of promoting peace and unity 
 
According to UNMISS head, educating communities on peaceful coexistence contributes to lasting peace in the Country.
 
The team leader for Torit UNMISS civil affairs division Bashir Allegele is hopeful that Khartoum peace talk will bear positive results.
 
Allegele urges conflicting parties to end hostilities and work for durable peace in the Country 
 
He spoke during a three days training on conflict management and peace clubs strategy development in Torit.
