40 citizens acquire training on liquid soap production

About Forty citizens have received skills on liquid soap production to enhance self-reliance in sustaining their lives in Torit.
 
The items produce within the period of three days includes hand washing soap, Shampoo, JIK and Multipurpose liquid detergent.
 
Deputy team leader for NIRAS Andrew Yunda Stephen says the training aims to benefit local population with washing materials to improve health hygiene.
 
Yunda blames poor health condition and sanitation in the state to households lacking washing products.
 
He urges the people to keep this detergents in places like toilets to be used after visiting.
 
Yunda promises to improve the quality of drinking water along Kinatie river to reduce the spread of water borne diseases.
 
A beneficiary Oyet Samuel Okuna says the knowledge and skills gained on liquid soap production will help create self-employment opportunity for those unemployed.
 
Samuel calls on partners to continue supporting the trainees in putting the acquired skills into practice
 
According to Samuel, producing products from within will reduce over dependency on imported goods.
 
Director for water and sanitation in State Ministry of physical infrastructure Sabastian Otto Lam appreciates, NIRAS for their efforts in supporting the local population.
