Good shepherds lead people to stability in the country, according to Parish Priest of St. Mary Cathedral in the Catholic Diocese of Wau.

Fr. Peter Bernardo Unjidee calls on the faithful and the people of South Sudan to be leaders who will resolve the problem of South Sudanese, Voice of Hope Radio reports.

He preaches that leaders should adopt the quality of a good Shepherd to lead people to stability.

Displacement from the conflict does not mean lack of courage but rather, it is seeking of safety, he adds.

Good shepherd is a person who lives in accordance with the will of God, the parish priest describes.

He encourages authorities to listen to God and imitate Christ the Good Shepherd when leading their people.

The Catholic priest made the appeal while presiding over the mass on Sunday at St Mary Cathedral in Wau.
