EAC Secretary-Generals review integration process in Kenya

East African Community or EAC Secretary Generals’ in their sixth annual forum for private sector, civil society and other groups are reviewing integration process in Nairobi, Kenya.
 
The forum under the theme: ‘Strategizing for impact: people-centred and market-driven integration’, started on Monday and ends on Tuesday evening.
 
About 100 delegates from partner states’ are participating in the meeting that aims to provide a platform for regular dialogue on how to improve the EAC integration process.
 
The annual meeting is also evaluating the work plan and progress on the consultative dialogue framework adopted by the EAC Council of Ministers.
 
It is also translating Secretary-Generals’ resolutions to policy, define success of the dialogue and redefine the roles of the parties.
 
The fifth forum was held in June 2017 in Bujumbura, Burundi, under the theme: ’15 years of the EAC: towards a borderless community’.
