Have hope that peace will be achieved as negotiations are ongoing; Archbishop of Juba consoles South Sudanese.

Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro advises people to continue praying for lasting peace in the country.

He was addressing people of Jubek State during the celebration of the seventh anniversary of the Independence at house of Governor Augustino Jadallah Camilo Wani on Sunday.

Archbishop Lukudu calls on South Sudanese youth to work hard to be independent economically.

God gave people diversity for praising Him, not for hating and fighting one another, he stresses.

The Catholic prelate says children who died due to hunger during the liberation struggle participated in freeing the country because without war, hunger would have not killed them.

He appeals to people to strongly keep their Christian faith to fight against evil acts.

Earlier Governor Jadallah advises the youth to work hard to be self-reliant and develop the state and the whole country.
