South Sudan records the highest rate of maternal death in the world, says Director of Reproductive Health in the national Ministry of Health
 
Alexander Dimiti while addressing the launch of the World Population Day in national Assembly Juba on Thursday said women die while giving birth in the whole country.
 
South Sudan has the lowest contraceptive preference across the globe, he adds.
 
Women of South Sudan are not empowered and they are dying while giving birth, regrets, Matur Makur Koryom, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Health.
 
The South Sudan Parliamentary Network on Population and Development launch the event marking World Population Day.
 
The Network was set up to support formulation of legislations that address population and development issues in South Sudan through evident based on policy making.
