A Missionary Sister of the Blessed Virgin Mary from Uganda calls on girls to join their congregation to serve God as a nun.

Sister Irene Avako says becoming a nun is a call from God and if one is interested she should be committed to do the work despite challenges that will come their way.

She mentions that since she joined the work of sisters, she has faced many challenges, but cannot leave the work of God because it is her vocation to serve Him.

Sister Irene encourages parents to send their daughters to the Covent because when they profess, there’s a respect and blessing in the family.

She explains that their congregation they take girls from 18 years and above based on her education level of secondary school.

The Sister further adds that their work is to serve God as well as the community in their problems.
