Catholic Bishops of South Sudan and Sudan join AMECEA plenary

The Catholic Bishops of South Sudan and Sudan are on Friday travelling to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to participate in the nineteenth assembly of the Association of Member Ecumenical Conferences of Eastern Africa or AMECEA, says President of Sudan Catholic Bishops Conference.
 
Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala says all Archbishops, Bishops and Apostolic Administrators of two countries will unite with their fellow preachers of the kingdom of God in the region.
 
He adds that the Catholic prelates in Addis Ababa will reinforce their solidarity and togetherness in the AMECEA countries.
 
Bishop Hiiboro explains that the theme of the ten-day’s meeting will focus on diversity and beauty of the people.
 
He adds that all the Catholic leaders will come together with the situations of all their member countries.
 
The president explains that the plenary will also pray for peace, unity and forgivingness in the Sub- Sahara Africa which has many crises.
 
Bishop Hiboro who is leading the delegation of Sudan and South Sudan says the plenary will also pray for young people who face their challenges in the region.
 
The 19th plenary assembly of the Association of Member Ecumenical Conferences of Eastern Africa is projected to conclude on July 25, 2018.
