South Sudanese women in various camps told UN delegation in the past two days that rape includes young girls, according to the Deputy Secretary-General.
Amina Mohammed says their two-day visit is to be in solidarity in South Sudan with more focus on gender-based violence, peace and security.
She urges the conflicting parties to implement the declaration and permanent ceasefire they signed in Khartoum to execute the rule of law and ease the access for the people.
The Deputy Secretary-General notes that the pain done to many people in camps need truth and reconciliation fora so that they can forgive the perpetrators.
The government of South Sudan is willing to do justice to its people and UN will continue follow up the steps, she adds.
Amina Mohammed says she met with the President Salva Kiir and discussed a number of issues.
The UN delegation also visited IDPs in Malakal and Wau and heard stories about gender-based violence victims and hospitals plus religious leader and women.
