Mary Gorethi UNFPA Gender-based Violence Coordinator in Wau says the aim is to enhance the women association with the skills of eradication of violence against women and girls.

She adds that the training is to orient association members on skills to report cases of gender-based violence.

The coordinator mentions that men and women are equal and is important to look at the causes of gender violence and its consequences.

Gorethi appeals to all families to look at their children equally, being a boy or a girl child. They all deserve to be educated equally.
