South Sudan Women Monthly Forum held state consultation with females in Rumbek on the on-going peace revitalization process.
Elizabeth Achot, Forum’s representative says the forum aims at strengthening women’s voices and promotes more inclusion of their voices to be heard in the peace process.
The Forum is expanding its activities from national to community level to empower and engage women to effectively participate in the peace processes.
Agum Joseph Kuch, Chairperson of Lakes States General women’s Association says division and rebellions of political leaders in the country has spoiled South Sudanese social cohesion.
The chairlady reveals that women recommended meeting President Kiir, Dr. Riek Machar and other political parties if they fail to sign peace this time.
