National Truth, Healing and Reconciliation Committee on Wednesday arrived in Wau State to consult people on the ground.
The head of the technical committee, Mary Ajith, says they are in Wau to get people’s ideas in the state so that they can draft a law for the establishment of the commission.
She says they will first establish the legislation of the commissions that work for peace and reconciliation.
Ajith explains that their consultations target youth, civil society organizations, and organized forces among others in 32 states.
She adds that after consultation, they will then analyze the data for the formation of Truth, Healing and Reconciliation Commission.
The committee has managed so far to reach about 13 states and hope to reach the others.
