MP urges state government to visit South Sudanese in Diaspora

Member of Parliament of Kaabong District of Uganda is calling the Torit State and South Sudan government to pay visit to South Sudanese in refugee camps.
 
She says a good number of South Sudanese are in neighboring countries like Uganda employed and others at schools.
 
Akello Rose Lilly while addressing the opening of a three-day learning session, appeals to the state government to frequently preach the word of peace to its citizens.
 
She says paying visits enable South Sudanese who seek refuge to the neighboring camps to be relieved of stress and negative mental effects about South Sudan.
 
MP Rose says peace can only be attained if South Sudanese join hands together to working for lasting peace in the country.
 
She tells leaders to portray a good image of their country.
 
The Member of Parliament advises South Sudanese in and across the country to reframe from hate speech.
 
She says peace can only be achieved if South Sudanese work as people of one nation.
 
MP Rose urges the two states of Kapoeta and Torit to co-exist and work for peace in the country.
 
Peace partners should involve women in peace activities since females are peace actors, she adds.
 
The Member of Parliament of Kaabong District of Uganda was talking during the opening session of the three-day learning session of reconstruction.
 
The session was organized by Justice and Peace Commission of the Catholic Diocese of Torit with support from PAX on Tuesday.
