The ongoing insecurity in Saura Boma has greatly affected parish activities, says Chairperson of St Joseph Maigbangaru choir in the Catholic Diocese of Tambura-Yambio.
Patrick Kumbonyaki says for about two months now Christians of Saura Boma have not seen peace and that has forced many to desert the area for their safety,
He regrets that most of the activities of the parish have collapsed due to consistent uncertainties in the area.
He mentioned that children have not been able to access education and health services for the past two months, making life difficult for the community.
Kumbonyaki mentions that civilians have developed more fear and panic from the armed youth in the bush despite efforts by government to protect them.
He calls on well-wishers to support the IDPs of Saura Boma with humanitarian assistance because they lack basic needs for their survival.
