Gbudue State women demand for effective participation in dialogue

Women in Gbudue State are demanding for effective participation of female in the ongoing South Sudan national dialogue proposed by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
 
Anita Auatabu is a member of South Sudan national dialogue steering committee.
 
Addressing Gbudue State women general union, she says the committee is in the state to collect women’s views about the issues affecting them in the country and the way forward.
 
Minister of Information Culture Youth and Sports, Bullen Wande confirms that women have been suffering since the outbreak of the war in the nation.
 
He urges the women to talk freely without fear and share anything that can bring peace to the country.
 
Chairlady for Women General Union, Linda Andrew states that women have been raising their issues several times but no attention has been given to their cry.
 
Consultant of Gender Child and Reconciliation, Mary Yatta calls on President Salva Kiir Mayardit and his former first Deputy Dr Riek Machar Teny to give peace a chance.
 
The speakers were speaking on Thursday in a workshop organized by women union with support from UN women in Yambio.
