The Legislative Assembly in Tonj State appeals to President Kiir and SPLM-IO leader Riek Machar to iron out pending issues and come up with peaceful solution to end war in the country.

The people of South Sudan suffered enough and they want peace now and relationship with one another, Don Bosco Radio reports.

James Machok Deng, Member of the State Parliament, says before the two leaders start talking, it is good for religious leaders to pray for them so that their meeting will be fruitful.

He adds that the people of South Sudan lost hope in their leaders as peace deal is signed and violated by the same officials.

Machok states that the leaders should understand the suffering of their communities in South Sudan and compromise.

He also asks the people of South Sudan and the international community to convince the leaders to stop fighting and work for peace.

Machok comments were on Thursday to Don Bosco Radio over the phone.
