Saints Peter and Paul Parish of the Catholic Diocese of El-Obeid in Nuba Mountains launched a workshop for awareness and youth development.
Seminarian Benjamin Kuku says the workshop gives awareness on young people’s responsibilities in the parish and communities, Voice of Peace Radio reports.
He adds that the workshop equips youth on leadership, self-reliance and the youth’s role in the community.
Kuku advises the young people to be active because the whole community usually depends on them for developing of their area.
The seminarian, who is also the facilitator of the youth workshop, spoke to Voice of Peace Radio at the start of the training.
He says that 46 youth members including some elderly women are attending the three-day workshop which started on Thursday and ends on Saturday.
