Community of Wau State and the UN refugees’ agency or UNCHR on Wednesday joined the globe in commemorating the World Refugee Day.
Minister of Local Government Anyar Anyar says South Sudan stands with UNHCR to support the refugees, Voice of Hope Radio reports.
UNCHR field head officer in Wau, James Karanja, says the day is to remember the refugees in different countries around the globe.
World Refugee Day is celebrated every year as to comfort and recall all those force out of their own native lands by war or political oppressions.
The theme of this year is ‘South Sudan stands with refugees’.
