Civil society shares experiences on better coordination in Rumbek

Civil Society Organizations Network on Wednesday held monthly coordination to share experiences and strategizes on how to better coordinate their activities more effectively.
 
Hakim Chipuou-Nyuc, Network Deputy Chairperson says the forum aims at strengthening the coordination of activities so that they are able to do their work in a collaborative manner.
 
He says the forum gives chance for organizations to explain what activities each does and where such activities are being implemented to avoid duplication of the activities.
 
Chipuounyuc also reveals that community members have reported fear over cattle raiding and that reports of killings has resumed in the state.
 
Lam Makuac Lam, Network Secretary-General adds that too much night shooting were realized within this few weeks.
 
He says there are indications that the situation will get worse due to alarm of night shooting and common cases of cattle raids.
 
The Secretary encourages communities and authorities to rescue the situation by maintaining law and order in the state.
 
The forum brought together 47 members of civil society organizations, UN agencies and community members in Western Lakes State.
