Diocese of Rumbek Justices and Peace Desk has introduced monthly masses every second Saturday of the month for peace, conciliation and love.
The prayers will be conducted on rotational basis in the four parishes in the Centre of the Diocese.
The first mass was launched on Saturday June 9, at Holy Family Parish.
Justice and Peace Coordinator Abraham Malual Wantok says God is the peace provider. That’s the reason his office suggested monthly prayers for the peace and unity of people.
‘It is a chance to invoke God to give peace to the people as South Sudanese are living in war, hatred and fear across the country’, Malual adds.
The coordinator made the remarks to Good News Radio on Tuesday in Rumbek.
