The Civil Society Organization members with support from System to Uphold the Credibility and Constitutionality of the Election in South Sudan or SUCCESS train female leaders on computer skills.
The female leaders were drawn from various community-based, civil society organizations and girls in secondary schools in Rumbek town, Good News Radio reports.
Malok Majak Malok of Rumbek Civic Engagement Centre says the training aims at strengthening the capacity of female leaders to be able to access internet freely.
He says the course that targets 18 members provides specific computer packages on Microsoft word, internet, PowerPoint and excel.
‘The training is delivered as per materials developed by DI-SUCCESS IT Manager’, Majak adds.
He encourages women and all members of various communities around Rumbek to use the centre for their benefits.
Malith Makuei Angadie, User Committee IT focal person, appreciates all community-based, civil society organizations and schools that have allowed their female leaders to benefit from the training.
He describes the training as important because it will help leaders to access and be connected to internet to know what is happening in the world.
Trainer Makuei appeals to all women in the state to use the free chance given to them by SUCCESS in order to add more knowledge in their places of work.
At least 29 female leaders attended the first training while 18 females benefited from Tuesday training conducted by Disabled Agency for Rehabilitation and Development and IT focal person.
