The East African Community in its eleventh meeting is reviewing the progress of the agriculture and food security in the region.
The meeting that started on Monday running to Friday is expected to see report of Africa agricultural development programme process and regional project of prevention and control.
The meeting is also visiting the status of the implementation of EAC Sanitary protocol and harmonization of farm inputs.
EAC food and nutrition security strategy and action plan, challenges and opportunities in rice value chain are some of the topics that the meeting will also tackle.
The gathering is also expected to review FAO project on promoting youth employment in the agricultural sector.
It is projected to see the status of livestock and fisheries development, resource mobilization and partnerships.
