Tonj State Deputy Governor on Thursday confirms that the security situation around the conflicted areas is now calm.
Speaking to Radio Don Bosco in Tonj on Friday, Manhiem Bol Malek the security forces are now in control of the areas in Tonj North County to investigate the incident.
Early this week a convoy of Tonj state Governor Anthony Bol Madut was attacked by civilians of Tonj North County when the governor was on his way to monitor the disarmament process in the area.
He expresses disappointment about the two soldiers that lost their lives during the confrontation.
The Deputy Governor says the state government sends condolence message to the parents of the deceased.
