Tonj Governor accuses some politicians in Juba of ambushing his convoy

Tonj State governor has condemns an ambush carried out by civilians against him while he touring Tonj East Counties.
 
Lieutenant General Anthony Bol Madut says he was on an official visit touring counties carrying out awareness to communities about disarmament and disseminates peace messages. Don Bosco Radio reports.
 
He adds that his convoy came under attack by a group of civilians whom, he believes were mobilized by politicians from Juba and Tonj North County.
 
The Governor stresses that if unauthorized guns are not collected from civilians, peace and development will never be realized in the state.
 
Madut reveals that a group of civilians organized by the community leaders shoot at SPLA soldier accompanying him and the forces exchange fire with them injuring one civilian.
 
He denied a rumor circulating in social Media that the civilians fought with army.
 
The governor vows to bring the murderers of two soldiers to book.
 
He reiterates his call for the continuation of disarmament process in the area.
