The governor of Yei River urges the United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS to continue building peace among the people of the state.
Emmanuel Adil Anthony discloses that there are 7,000 displaced people from Mukaya County in the recent clashes in the area, Easter Radio reports.
He pleads to the humanitarian organizations in the area to continue supporting the IDPs.
Governor Adil says the state government is committed to peace and the implementation of the grass-root peace initiative is ongoing.
The governor made the call at Yei Freedom Square on Tuesday during UN day.
