The Chairperson for Peace Commission is appealing to communities of Ibahure and Lohutok of Lopit East County in Torit State to accept peace dialogue as the only way to resolve their problems.

German Charles Ojok spoke to Emmanuel Radio on Tuesday after a team comprising of UNMISS civil affairs and State Peace Commission last week visited Ibahure to witness the growing community tensions with the neighboring Lohutok.

According to him, four people died from both sides and cattle raided that fuels tensions in the area.

Charles says it is time the communities should engage in agriculture to feed their families instead of conflicting each other

The Chairman says the commission is planning to visit the two areas involving the intellectuals who will talk to their own people on the dangers of conflict.

He says the intellectuals will meet the commission before going to the grassroots for reconciliation.
