The Emergency Coordinator for Caritas Yei says he is lobbying for food support for the Internal Displaced Persons or IDPs who arrived to Yei recently from Soka Payam of Mukaya County.

Angelo Duik says they have written to their partners in Belgium and South Sudan about the influx of the new IDPs to Yei County.

The humanitarian organization last week gave little support to the displaced persons to rescue the dire situation of the IDPs, says the coordinator.

However the IDPs say the food was not enough for their upkeep.

Duik admits they gave little food to the IDPs for emergency.

The coordinator says they distributed food ratios to about 65 thousand people in Yei since the eruption of the war in the state.

Recently Yei River County received over one hundred people displaced from Soka Payam of Mukaya County.

The number added to the already over 700 camping in Jazeera also from Mukaya.
