The Principal of Torit Health Science Institute announces that the school has enrolled 170 new medical students this year to fill the gap of medical personnel.
Tobia Magezi Omal says the school has recruited students from the 12 counties of Torit State, Emmanuel Radio reports.
The institute aims at closing the human resource gap in the health centre throughout the state, he adds.
Magezi cites great improvement in the enrolment this year with the difference of 40 students.
He expects the new students to act professionally and perform to the hope of the school.
The new students will begin their lectures early next month after a week orientation.
Government subsidize students pay a tuition of 6,000 SSP, private students 20,000SSP and NGOs sponsored students pay 250 USD yearly.
