Stakeholders urge parties to compromise to achieve lasting peace

The Foreign Minister of Ethiopian who chairs IGAD’s Council of Ministers urges parties to the Revitalization Forum to compromise and make real decision to achieve lasting peace and save their suffering people.
 
Workneh Gebeyehu reminds the delegate that the proposal is for the parties to cordially resolve the problems of their country.
 
It is time to end the suffering of the people of South Sudan, Ambassador Berhanu Kebede, Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission or JMEC, Chief of Staff tells political leaders.
 
He urges the parties to reaffirm their commitment by real actions of adhering to the cessation of hostilities agreement.
 
IGAD Special Envoy for South Sudan, Ambassador Ismail Wais, supports faith-based leaders to continue praying for the success of the peace process.
 
He also encourages the parties to consider the proposals to bridge the gaps among them.
 
The leaders were speaking during the closing of the Continued Second Phase of the Revitalization Forum on Wednesday evening in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
