Intra South to South peace dialogue starts with Church mediation

South Sudan Council of Churches headed by Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan’s Archbishop Justin Badi Arama on Friday started mediating Intra South Sudanese dialogue in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
 
Government Spokesperson, Michael Makuei Lueth says South Sudanese alone will be able to achieve peace better than the one mediated by outsiders.
 
He expresses optimism that if all parties speak the truth, lasting peace would be realized in the country.
 
Mr. Makuei explains that five thematic issues on governance and five others in the security sector are being discussed in the two-day dialogue.
 
He adds that, leadership committee and two sub-committees on governance and security are being set up

Says, the Intra South Sudanese peace dialogue will help reach an agreement because it is being led by humble people of the church
 
She says if the discussion continues in good faith, it will achieve peace.
