Rumbek on Thursday celebrated the International Red Cross and Crescent Day in Western Lakes State Capital.
The Red Cross and Red Crescent Day reminds members and volunteers about the great work of their worldwide founder Henry Dunant, Good News Radio quoted Joseph Dhuor Makuei, Rumbek branch leader.
Dhuor says the International Red Cross Red Crescent members always respond to disasters worldwide to save people’s lives.
This year International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day was honored under the theme: ‘Everywhere for everyone”.
