The Organization for Children Harmony and UN Food and Agricultural Organization, or FAO while launching Agriculture in Tonj North County appeals to people to cultivate to reduce hunger.
Executive Director of the Children Harmony Marko Madut Garang, says they are distributing seeds to encourage the local people to dig to lessen hunger in the country.
The program is targeting families that do not have seeds to cultivate and reduce malnutrition.
FAO representative, Regina Nyathom Olwak, adds that they are concerned always to provide seeds to vulnerable people in South Sudan to cultivate for food security.
She stresses that people should make good use of the season to fight hunger in their families.
State Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Angelo Deng Magol, says farming is the only way to bring the country out of poverty.
The project is targeting three thousand beneficiaries from all counties of Tonj State.
