SPLM-N Constitution Committee has started giving awareness to leaders and citizens in Heiban County about the new charter of the party.
The group started the process with four mayors and citizens of Karga Payam, Heiban County in Nuba Mountains.
Toma Ali, a committee member, says the aim is to fight bad practices in communities.
The law also includes ban on smoking weed and serious penalties for those people who protect criminals in the area, the member notes.
Ms Ali explains that the constitution prohibits forceful marriages and that violators will be seriously punished.
It is not fair for people to marry people using force, she stresses.
The member of the committee advises the community to obey the rules put forward by authorities because they help them to be organized in the region.
