More than three hundred cows and one hundred fifty goats received vaccination in Wau to prevent them from different diseases.
Directorate of Animal Resources and Veterinary in partnership with Bangladeshi forces unit in Wau, UN mission field office, offered free vaccination to the cows and goats.
Paul Angelo Rizik, Director of Veterinary says the campaign will target productive animals at Bayi-Bayi Osman area in Wau South.
The official is asking the animal’s owners to cooperate with the team on the ground for them to benefit from the free vaccination services.
The campaign came as a response to outbreak of animal disease because last year there was no vaccination done, he notes.
The Director of Veterinary explains that last year the vaccination was done in Marial Ajieth and the team this year chose Bayi-Bayi Osman areas because it has more animals and they will go to other areas within the state.
