Primary schools in Yei River County commence preparation for inter-primary school athletics competition is due to start on Friday.
According to Easter Radio, about 15 schools are undergoing measurement to enable them qualify for the tournament.
Yei County Senior Inspector for co curricular activities, Nathanial Yacoub Tira explains that the athletes will compete on different activities.
He encourages parents to allow their children to participate in the forth coming event.
The Inspector believes that sports encompass various importance including enabling the child to become physically fit and unite children.
Indiscipline cases shown by a school during the tournaments will lead to severe fine suspension of the school from sports activities, he warns.
On their part the primary schools express readiness for the tournament.
Pupils in Emmanuel Model and Nehemiah Primary Schools are optimistic of being crown champions of the forth coming games.
They also observe that sports bring friendship and peaceful coexistence.
The winners will be awarded with trophies and sum of money.
Athletics is an annual event in the primary schools in Yei River County that take place every first term.
