Shortage of metals in Tonj State has affected the production of local tools for agriculture, blacksmith team leader discloses.
Yak Madut Deng, says lack of cooperation between the government and his group resulted into scarcity of metals.
Madut calls on the government to stop taking away the old metals to other countries.
Dut Ater, a member of blacksmith association, mentions that lack of metals has forced them to sell one hoe at 750 SSP, making it difficult for the customers to buy.
He explains that a hoe was sold at 500 SSP compared to the current prices.
There will be no local products for the communities to use if things continue missing, he adds.
