The Parish Priest of Christ the King Cathedral in the Catholic Diocese of Yei on Sunday says people have the tendencies of denying God’s existence.

Fr Tom Poru Martin stresses that denying humanitarian aids for the needy, killing people to rob their property and denying people information is part of denying God existence.

He mentioned that denying humanitarian aids to the need person is sacrifice of the lives of the poor hungry person for one owns interest.

Poru reveals that last week two people were shot near the bridge during the day that scared children from coming to school the following day.

He points out that there are no armed opposition in Yei town but wonders where the shooting came from.

‘Some People are not happy with the relative peace in Yei, they wanted to destabilize Yei, We the church condemn the act and it should not repeat itself and the motive was not known and not clear’, says Fr Poru.

The priest appeals to the security personnel to make sure that such incident does not repeat itself because it will scare the people who are returning to Yei.
