The national assembly has failed to conduct its regular sitting on Tuesday due to failure of microphones.

The lawmakers were set to hear answers from various ministers who were earlier summoned to appear before parliamentarians, Bakhita Radio reports.

Five ministers, Mayor and Central Bank Governor were supposed to appear before lawmakers to answer questions regarding their files, says Paul Yoane Bonju, chairperson of Information Committee of Communication in the Parliament.

He says the sitting has been adjourned to next Monday.

Yoane says technical team will work to rectify the system for the next sitting to start on Monday.

About nine ministers including the governor of Central Bank and the Mayor of Juba City Council were supposed to appear before the national August House on Tuesday to answer questions regarding their offices.
