Health official says there is high rate of maternal deaths in South Sudan

World Health Organization official said there are a lot of dead maternal in many parts of South Sudan which are not recorded by health institutions.
 
Dr Suzie Paul the technical officer on maternal and child health at World Health Organization or WHO, says for the last two years they have recorded around 8,000 maternal dead in South Sudan. Bakhita Radio reports.
 
Dr Suzie says there a lot of maternal dead in South Sudan which need an urgent intervention with service delivery to save their lives.
 
Dr James Wanyama the emergency coordinator of United Nation Population Fund or UNFPA, says it is really challenging that most of the health facilities in South Sudan luck service to run its centres 
 
South Sudan has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world, with 2,054 deaths per 100,000 live births
