Torit State Member of Parliament resigns

A Member of Parliament in Torit State on Wednesday presented her resignation letter to the August house.
 
Night Florence Otto says she is resigning from the parliament to pursue her studies to gain more skills and knowledge in leadership, Emmanuel Radio reports.
 
She thanks both the state parliament and her community for their support during her term of service.
 
Speaker of Torit State Assembly Charles Udwar acknowledge the resignation and says her replacement will be elected to fill the gap.
 
He says when people upgrade in studies it means that their community status will also be upgraded.
 
MP Jamus Bilal, leader of Government Business Committee in the August House congratulates the step his colleague took.
 
Night Florence Otto has been the chairperson of specialized committee for finance and public service at the state parliament.
 
Florence was elected in 2010 by the people of Pageri County to represent them in the former Eastern Equatorial State and continued to represent her people in Imotong State now named Torit.
