The South Sudan Football Association or SSFA says it will investigate three senior officials over the expulsion of nine players from under 20 African Cup of Nation qualifiers against Uganda last week.
The South Sudanese players were expelled from the 2019 AFCON championship tournament in Kampala for being over aged, Bakhita Radio reports.
Daniel Alul, spokesman for the SSFA, told journalists on Wednesday that the football governing body does not ignore cheating.
He says they have formed a five-member committee to investigate the chairman of teams and the Secretary-General.
Alul urges the public to support the SSFA with resources to plan for the second leg that will be played in Juba between April 20 and 22.
The AFCON U20 is meant for youths aged 20 or below.
The spokesperson says the SSFA is the responsibility of every South Sudanese, not only the governing body.
The Young Bright Stars were left with no substitutes in the match which they lost 5-1.
For a player to participate in the 2019 edition of the AFCON U20 he or she must be born after January 1999.
