School administration of the Catholic diocese of Wau has conducted refreshment training for its teachers to equip both trained and untrained teachers with skills and methodology.

‘The purpose of this training is something to do with skills and Methodology to equip out teachers with skills and knowledge to give quality education to our learners” says Program officer, Severino Thomas Oyo.

He adds that the training targets seven catholic schools operating in Wau.

The Program Officer says the teachers’ training will not affect the pupils from learning.

‘We targeted seven Catholic schools which are operating in Wau except St Mary which is outside the town. The first workshop was attended by fifty participants from the Catholic schools as the first bunch’.

The teachers applaud the Education officer for conducting the training to increase their capacity to teach well.

‘So at the moment now the first group that attended the first workshop is already there in the schools keeping the learners for the smooth running of the schools while others are here. So those who are there, at least they are coping with the situation while others are here once they go back, they will continue with the normal routine’.

The training will last for two weeks at John Paul II premises.
