Some members of Imotong state Assembly are calling on the national government to organize a National Forum that will enable speakers share challenges affecting the different states in the country.
Alphonse Muras Chacha, the chairperson for specialized committee for legislation and members’ affairs says annual sharing through a forum will enable members of parliament familiar with challenges in the country.
Muras complains that the state parliamentarians are not treated fairly compared to those at the national level.
Muras says common sharing of grievances is the only way to find better solutions.
Maira Janus, head of the governance and business committee suggests ways of improving state revenue to stabilize the state economy.
Charles Ukech Udwar admits the concerns of the members and says the issue needs to be addressed at the national level.
