A health officer at Saura Primary Health Care Units in Yambio is appealing to the government and health partners to help in providing enough community health workers and drugs.
Michael Julius Yangarayo says Saura PHCU has only one community health worker and cannot handle the entire department alone.
He adds that the health facility has incomplete maternity ward which does not allow midwifes to assist pregnant mothers deliver safely. He says most cases have been sent to Yambio State hospital for better services.
Julius calls on the government and partners to help rescue the situation by increasing the number of the community health workers so that they can be able to deliver quality services.
