Boil their water before use, Minister of Water Cooperative and Rural Development on Thursday in Tonj tells citizens.
Abak Yel Maduot urges women to boil water from contaminated sources before using it for cooking or drinking, Don Bosco Radio reports.
The minister points out that when drinking water is not boiled then it can cause waterborne diseases like typhoid, cholera, diarrhea among others.
In order to avoid contacting water borne diseases, mothers should boil water using saucepan before taking it for domestic use, Abak explains.
She discloses that Red Cross promised to expand the water supply system in Tonj town to over seven areas.
Red Across will also drill more boreholes by April and people will get clean water by July, the minister adds.
