Thousands of IDPs receive Cholera vaccination in Wau

Thousands of internally displaced persons in Wau have been vaccinated against Cholera.
 
The vaccination campaign is of its first kind in the town is targeting people living in the POC and other sites. Voice of Hope reports
 
IOM health representative and campaign supervisor said that the vaccine is important and all IDPs should be vaccinated to avoid getting Cholera.
 
He added that the vaccine doesn’t have any side effect to people even pregnant mothers 
 
The health team leader mentions that the campaign is targeting the entire protection site in Wau because they are most congested place and very risk.
 
Some of IDPs who turn up for vaccination appreciated the IOM for introducing the vaccine so they can stay healthy.
 
Early last month South Sudan health official jointly with World Health Organization declared that the country is free of Cholera outbreak.
