The Catholic Diocese of Torit announces the postponement of the commemoration day of the late Bishop Johnson Akio Mutek to Tuesday March 2018.
According to Fr Joseph Logura Dominic the Secretary General of the diocese says the commemoration falls on Sunday which he says is a day for praising the risen Christ.
Father Logura tells that commemoration is for Christians to reflect on the legacy and dreams that the late Bishop Akio left in their lives.
Fr Logura in his statement calls on Christians to commemorate late Bishop Akio in their various parishes.
The Catholic Diocese of Torit annually commemorates late Bishop Akio on 18th March.
