Tonj State Ministry of Information, Youth, Culture and Sports says it is surprised to see that there are no cultural dances practiced in the freedom square.
People stopped the cultural dances after state Governor Anthony Bol Madut, banned some activities in the state, including Machoop, Wande and Dudugu wara.
Director General Muordek Mayol Geng wonders why the youth did not turn up for the cultural activities.
He says the ministry was misunderstood by the public. He adds that his ministry did not ban all the activities, urging the people to resume their normal dances in the area.
The Director General hopes to see people performing their cultural dances in Tonj freedom square on Sunday this week.
The leaders were talking to Radio Don Bosco on Thursday in Tonj.
